Bengaluru: Higher Education Minister G.T. Devegowda (GTD) yesterday said that it is a common practice to change Syndicate Members in Universities whenever a new Government comes to power.
Recently, the Government had withdrawn the appointment of Syndicate Members in Universities made during the previous Congress Government led by Siddharamaiah. Speaking after inaugurating the academic activities of Maharani’s Arts, Commerce and Management College in Bengaluru, GTD said that vacant Syndicate posts will be filled shortly and added that JD(S) supporters will be given preference in the appointments.
