Awards presentation at Planners Conference in Ahmedabad on Feb. 7
Mysore/Mysuru: The National Best Thesis Award-2025 for Undergraduate (UG) Planning students has been awarded to P.A. Charan, B.Tech in Planning, Department of Planning, School of Planning and Architecture, University of Mysore (UoM), Mysuru, for securing 1st place.
Charan has completed a Planning Thesis titled ‘Mitigating Urban Floods: A Planning Study on ‘Connecting Blue-Green Network in Koramangala-Challaghatta Valley in Bengaluru City’ under the guidance of Prof. H.S. Kumara, Professor, Urban and Regional Planning School of Planning and Architecture, UoM and Co-guide N. Madhusudan, Faculty, School of Planning and Architecture, UoM.
The National Best Thesis Award-2025 for Postgraduate (PG) Planning students has been awarded to Agni S. Gangadkar, M.Tech in Urban and Regional Planning, Department of Planning, School of Planning and Architecture, UoM, for securing 3rd place.
Agni has completed a Planning Thesis titled ‘Planning for Spatial Integration of Transport System for Future Growth, Mysuru city’ under the guidance of Prof. H.N. Nagendra, Senior Professor, Urban and Regional Planning School of Planning and Architecture, UoM and Co-guide R. Rohit Singh, Faculty, School of Planning and Architecture, UoM.
The National Best Thesis Award-2025 competition was organised by the Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI), National Accreditation Body of Planning Programmes, New Delhi, inviting students who secured the highest marks/ grade in the Planning Thesis at the respective Planning Schools recognised by ITPI, New Delhi.
In this competition, students from IITs, CEPT, SPAS, NITS, MANIT, VNIT and other Planning Schools run by State Universities, as well as other Deemed and Private Universities participated.
The National Best Thesis Award-2025 will be presented at the valedictory function of the National Town and Country Planners Conference, scheduled to be held on Feb. 7, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
