Mysuru: Marking 4 years of completion of the State Government, the district administration has organised ‘Jana-Mana’ programme at Kalamandira here at 11am tomorrow (May 13). PWD and District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will preside over the programme and interact with the beneficiaries.
DC D. Randeep held a preliminary meeting in this regard at Jaladarshini Guest House here yesterday.
Addressing the meeting, Randeep said that the Jana Mana programme provides a platform for beneficiaries of various schemes such as Anna Bhagya, Ksheera Bhagya, Krishi Bhagya, Ksheera Dhare, Pashu Bhagya, Vidyasiri, Rajiv Arogya Bhagya, Shadi Bhagya, Vasathi Bhagya etc. to come up with their opinions.
At the last year’s Jana Mana programme, the beneficiaries had asked for more than 5kgs of rice per unit and the Government taking this into consideration, hiked rice quantity to 7kgs per unit. Similarly, the children would get milk at schools for 5 days a week instead of the earlier 3 days a week, which was announced in the State budget, the DC said and added that this was due to the effect of Jana-Mana programme.
Food and Civil Supplies Deputy Director Dr.K. Rameshwarappa, Veterinary Department Deputy Director Dr. Prasad Murthy, Horticulture Deputy Director Manjunath, Akshara Dasoha officer Uday Kumar and other officials attended the meeting.
