Mysuru: With Chief Minister Siddharamaiah announcing that he will contest the 2018 Assembly polls from Chamundeshwari constituency, the opposition JD(S) is all set to blow the poll bugle by holding a massive party workers meet at Lingadevarakoppalu on Mysuru-Hunsur Road on Nov.3.
Addressing a party workers meet at a private hotel here yesterday, Chamundeshwari JD(S) MLA G.T. Devegowda said that State JD(S) President and former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy will address the Nov.3 party workers convention to take place at the ground opposite Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya at Lingadevarakoppalu on Mysuru-Hunsur Road.
Pointing out that Kumaraswamy along with his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy will visit Chamundi Hill at 8 pm prior to the convention, he said that Kumarswamy, who has recovered from a recent heart surgery, will campaign from a specially designed bus.
Kumaraswamy will also offer special puja at Uttanahalli Temple and at Nanneshwara Swamy Temple at Hinkal before taking part in the convention.
Ahead of the convention, a massive bike rally will be taken out, G.T. Devegowda said and added that more than 5,000 party workers are expected to take part in the convention.
