Bengaluru: With the results of the Lok Sabha Polls likely to have bearing on State politics, JD(S), a partner in the coalition Government, has convened a JD(S) Legislature Party Meeting at Bengaluru on May 21.
The May 21 meeting, just two days before the counting of LS Polls votes on May 23, assumes significance.
JD(S) is said to have convened the meeting to discuss the strategies to be adopted as the LS Polls result will certainly have fallout on State politics.
The meeting is also learnt to have been called at the behest of JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda, who wants to have a meeting with the party Legislators ahead of the LS Polls results.
All MLAs and MLCs of the party have been asked to attend the meeting. The meeting is also said to be a prelude to the meeting of all non-NDA Opposition parties called by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on May 23, the day of counting of LS Polls votes.
