JD(S) MLA Shivalingegowda quits

Bengaluru: Ahead of the Assembly polls, Arasikere JD(S) MLA Shivalingegowda resigned from his Assembly seat on Sunday.

Shivalingegowda met Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri at his office in Sirsi, Uttara Kannada district on Sunday morning  and submitted his resignation letter.

Shivalingegowda, who was miffed with the JD(S) top brass for the past few months, is most likely to join the Congress and contest the May 10 polls from Arasikere Constituency in Hassan district on a Congress ticket.
