Mysuru: ‘Jnanabhandara’, a study material for competitive exams brought out by city’s Jnanabuthi institute, was released at a programme organised at Jnanabuthi in Lakshmipuram Government PU College premises on JLB Road here recently.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar lauded Jnanabuthi for conducting free coaching for competitive exams.
Stressing on the need for developing quality and quantity in higher education, he said that getting higher education was very important in these days of stiff and cut-throat competition.
Observing that we are in an era of knowledge, where knowledge and skills one very vital, Prof. Hemantha Kumar said that measures will be taken for conducting free coaching classes for competitive exams in Mysore University.
Former Kuvempu University Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Chidananda Gowda, in his address, called upon the students to focus on their chosen fields and be always inclined for acquiring knowledge and skills.
Janabuthi’s Jainahalli Sathyanarayangowda, Humorist Prof. M. Krishnegowda, Prof. H.S. Mallikarjuna Shastri, Prof. N.S. Prahald, Prof. R.N. Padmanabha, Prof. V. Jayaprakash, Dr. G.V. Narasimhan, Prof. K.M. Prasanna Kumar and others were present.
