DC holds preliminary meeting
Mandya: “The two Job Melas held earlier have given livelihood to about 700 families and the one to be held now will help a minimum of 2,000 candidates as is being envisaged,” disclosed Mandya Deputy Commissioner Dr. M.V. Venkatesh.
He was addressing a preliminary meeting at his office here on Tuesday in the context of the proposed Job Mela to be held on Dec.21 at the premises of the Government College here under the aegis of District Administration, District Employment Exchange Office and City Municipality.
Dr. Venkatesh asked the officers concerned to bring in recruiting companies from Mandya, Mysuru, Bidadi, Ramanagaram, Hassan, Srirangapatna and Bengaluru to the Job Mela to help unemployed youths.
District Employment Officer K. Shivamurthy and other District officials attended the meeting. Candidates who have passed SSLC, PUC, ITI, diploma, degree, B.Sc (Nursing), BE and other courses can attend the event with resume, two photos, Aadhaar Card and other documents.
