Excel Public School and St.Joseph’s-Vijayanagar share Overall Championship
Mysuru: St. Joseph’s Central School, Yelwal, hosted JoFest-2018, an inter-school competition in the School premises recently. The competitions included Scene Depiction, Mad Ads, Short Films, Collage-Making and Science Model-Making. Students from 11 Schools participated.
Jo-Fest-2018 was inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Dr. K.A. William, Bishop of Mysore Diocese. Prof. Y. Sreekanth, Principal, RIE, was the chief guest. Rev. Fr. Vijay, Secretary of MDES, Rev. Fr. Praveen, Priest-in-Charge, Rev. Fr. Vincent, Principal of St. Philomena’s College, Rev. Fr. Jomy, Principal of St. Joseph’s School, Jayalakshmipuram, Joyce Lobo, CEO of St. Joseph’s and St. Mathias’ institutions, Elizabeth S. Thomas, Principal of St. Joseph’s Central School, Yelwal, were also present.
St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar, won the first place in Scene Depiction and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB) was the runner-up; BVB won the first place in Mad Ads and the runner-up was Excel Public School; Excel Public School won the first place in Short Films and the runner-up was St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar.
St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar, won first place in Collage-Making and the runner- up was St. Joseph’s School, Jayalakshmipuram; The first prize for the Science Model- Making was won by Excel Public School and the runner-up was St. Joseph’s School, Jayalakshmipuram. The Overall Championship was shared by Excel Public School and St. Joseph’s Central School Vijayanagar.
