Joy Reddy (77), a retired Junior Research Officer of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) and a resident of B.M. Shri Nagar, passed away yesterday evening in city.
Wife of late B. Mahananda, she leaves behind son Manish, daughter Nisha Reddy, daughter-in-law Rumana, son-in-law Dilip Das, brother Srinivas Murthy and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral was held at Benson Cemetery on Nanjangud Road today, according to family sources.
Joy Reddy had completed her MA in Linguistics from Osmania University and had conducted rigorous research on different languages, notable among them was on the Savara script.
