Mysuru: JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru renewed the MoU with Philips India Ltd., on Jan. 23 in the Board Room of JSS Medical College, Mysuru.
The MoU was signed in January 2014 for a period of 5 years. In the initial five years of collaboration, about 12 studies have been completed. The renewal of the MoU would further strengthen and encourage research in the areas of health sciences.
In his welcome address, Dr. B. Manjunatha, Registrar, JSS AHER, briefed about the achievements, rankings and recognitions of JSS AHER and the role of collaborating institutions in the overall development of JSS AHER.
Dr. B. Suresh, Vice-Chancellor, JSS AHER opined that such collaborations were essential in the field of healthcare for improving the quality of life of the patients.
Dr. Kumara Sanjaya, Director and Head, Philips India Ltd., Clinical Research Board, said that collaborating with a top 500 ranked University of the world had increased their credibility.
Dr. Shrutin Ulman, Cluster Manager, Philips India Ltd., presented Quality & Research aspects of collaboration expectations in the industry-institute partnerships.
Dr. P.A. Kushalappa, Director (Academics), JSS AHER, proposed a vote of thanks.
