Mysuru: JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, won the 2nd edition of JSS Inter-Institutions Cricket Tournament 2024-25, held at KSCA-JSS STU Cricket Ground recently. JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSS ATE), Bengaluru, emerged runners-up.
In the finals, JSS AHER, batting first, scored 152 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, JSS ATE managed to score 143 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs falling short by 9 runs.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by JSS STU Vice-Chancellor Prof. A.N. Santosh Kumar. University of Mysore (UoM) former Cricket Coach Mansoor Ahmed, SJCE Principal (in-charge) Dr. C. Nataraj, Student Affairs and Alumni Engagements (SAAE) Dean Dr. M.N. Nagendra Prasad and PE Director Dr. Nataraj were present.
During the valedictory ceremony, JSS STU Deputy Registrar Dr. B.S. Harish congratulated the participants, reminding them of the importance of accepting both victory and defeat gracefully.
Asst. Registrar Dr. Maheshan suggested to explore alternative venues for future editions, such as the University’s Ooty or Noida campuses to add fresh experiences to the tournament.
Convenor Dr. Revanna was present on the occasion.
