JSS Mahavidyapeetha and Infosys Ltd. sign MoU

Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Infosys Ltd. to implement Infosys Springboard, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at its  educational institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, said that digital literacy is a key factor in education.

“Infosys has launched Infosys Springboard, a learning solution that enables students to become digitally literate and navigate their future. Students across India in the age group of 10-22 years as well as lifelong learners can access the platform. The students can tap into a rich and vast knowledge base that can be extended to their family members also without any cost,” said                                                       Dr. Betsurmath.

This learning solution aligns with National Education Policy (NEP-2020) which articulates equitable and inclusive education.

He requested all the Division Heads of JSS Mahavidyapeetha and Vice-Chancellors to make best use of the initiative.

Satheesha Nanjappa, Senior Vice-President of Education, Training and Assessment (ETA)  – Infosys, said, “Infosys Springboard CSR initiative under Infosys Digital Literacy Mission offers digital skills along with value added education. This programme was started three years back and currently 7.5 million users are there in our platform. There are various courses in Infosys Springboard platform, which will surely help the students.”

Dr. S. Meenakshi, Senior Business Manager, ETA – Infosys, said that Infosys Springboard platform will give diversified content, more than 1,700 courses which cover Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering and other emerging areas, including career-oriented courses.”

This programme plans to create skill building, especially digital skill as per industry needs of students, supporting digital literacy in schools, accruing their curriculum and to help the students of rural areas through workshops, seminars, internship and faculty development programmes.”

This programme is playing a significant role in six States including Karnataka, she said.

Santhosh Ananthapura, Head and Chief Lead, Government Partnerships, Infosys, explained about the  Springboard Initiative.

Prof. S.P. Manjunath, Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Vice-Chancellors and Registrars of JSS Science &technology University (JSS STU) and JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru and all Division Heads of JSS Mahavidyapeetha were present on the occasion.
