Mysore/Mysuru: The Graduation Day of JSS Medical College will be held tomorrow at its Campus in Shivarathreeshwaranagar here at 4 pm.
A total of 195 students will be awarded their graduation certificates, while seven meritorious students will be honoured with 11 gold medals and 13 cash prizes. The graduates will solemnly take the Hippocratic Oath, a sacred commitment that forms the foundation of ethical medical practice.
The event will recognise excellence among teaching faculty, with the presentation of Best Teacher Award; Research Excellence Awards for highest number of publications/citations and the prestigious Professor Y.T. Thathachari Endowment Prize for the Best Research Publication-2025.
Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Dr. M.K. Ramesh, President, Medical Assessment & Rating Board, National Medical Commission, New Delhi, will be the chief guest.
JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside. JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research Pro-Chancellor Dr. B. Suresh and Vice-Chancellor Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa will be the guests of honour.
Medal winners: Dr. Purna Bansal (7 gold medals and 6 cash prizes); Dr. Prakhar Gupta (2 gold and 1 cash prize), Dr. Sandra Anna Sam (1 gold and 2 cash prizes); Dr. Yashika Sharma (1 gold); Dr. Sneha Manosh Kumar (2 cash prizes); Dr. Sharanya Bose (1 cash prize) and Dr. Dyuksha Arora (1 cash prize).
