JSS Mysore Urban Haat Utsav from tomorrow

Three exhibitions under one roof

Mysuru: For the first time, JSS Mysore Urban Haat is organising three exhibitions at a time, JSS Mysore Urban Haat Utsav, following overwhelming response from Mysureans and as well as tourists, at JSS Mysore Urban Haat premises, Ring Road, Hebbal  Industrial Area here from tomorrow (Mar.23).

The Utsav is sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Government of India, Ministry of Textiles and the Department of Industry and Commerce, Government of Karnataka.

During this Utsav, Special Handloom Expo will be held from Mar.23 to Apr. 5; Handicraft Exhibition and Kalavaibhava  from Mar.23 to Apr.1.

More than 80 artisans and weavers from all over India including National and State awardees will be exhibiting and selling their traditional and heritage artifacts and handloom products in these exhibitions which will be open from 10 am to 9 pm on all these days.

There is no entry or parking fee for the exhibition. The event will be inaugurated on Mar.23 at 4 pm.

Craftspersons will present live demonstrations in art and craft making and display Pujabi Phulkari/Patiala Suits, Bhagalpur Tassar Silk sarees/duppatta, Bastar Iron Craft from Madhya Pradesh, Horn Products, Grass Mats/ Curtains, Jaipur Kurthas & Raprons, Kanjivaram Silk Sarees, Ilakal Kasuthi and Molakalmur sarees of Karnataka, Jute bags,  Tassur silk sarees, Kantha stitch sarees, Banaras sarees and Dress Materials, Boutique sarees and Dress, Bengali Cotton sarees, Kashmir Handlooms, Wood Carving & furniture from Saharanpur, Wood Inlay, Chicken Embroidery, Modern ceramic Arts Murals, Madhubani Painting, Rajasthan Miniature Paintings, Rajasthan Embroidery & footwear, Gujarat Dress, Dry flower, All kinds of Leather & Jute products, Vegetable print Dress Materials, Artificial, Imitation Jewellery, Gem Stone Jewellery, Marble Painting, Karnataka Silk Sarees & Channapattana Toys, Terracotta items and other attractive Handicrafts and Handlooms items.

City bus facility has been arranged from bus stand (Bus No. 117) to the JSS Urban Haat premises.
