Mysore/Mysuru: As part of ‘Manasadhara’ Cultural Fest 2022-23, JSS Public School, J.P. Nagar, had recently organised an Inter-School Classical Duet Dance Competition in the School premises here.
The Fest was inaugurated jointly by Dr. K. Kumar, Professor and Head, Department of Dance, College of Fine Arts, Manasagangothri, K. Smitha Kurup, School Principal and K.A. Sunitha, Vice-Principal.
Dr. Kumar, who spoke about the importance of education in a country’s development, said Mysuru is famous for its education system and students from various countries are studying here in this Cultural Capital.
“Do not learn dance just as a profession but learn it to enhance the knowledge. It helps in psychological and intellectual development of a child,” he said and lauded JSS Public School for arranging the dance competition from past 8 years.
Sreelakshmi, Faculty and Co-ordinator of School’s CCA Department, proposed a vote of thanks. Rajeshwari, faculty member, introduced the judges of the contest. Prajwal Vasishta and Harshitha of Class X compered. Participants from various schools of the city enthralled the audience with their well-choreographed performances.
Debate Competition
JSS Public School, J.P. Nagar, had also organised CBSE Inter-School Debate Competition. Around 19 schools participated in the contest on the topic ‘Do we still have control over technology or is it already controlling us?’ Yagna Murthy Srikanth, Principal, RIE, Mysuru, inaugurated the event.
