JSS Rangotsava-2019 in city on Dec. 11

JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru has organised three-day theatre festival ‘Rangotsava’ at Navajyoti Auditorium, JSS Women’s College in city from Dec. 9 to Dec. 11. On Dec. 9, students of JSS Public School, Banashankari 2nd stage, Bengaluru will be staging Dr. S.V. Kashyap’s play ‘Chandramukhi.’ On Dec. 9, students of JSS Women’s Degree College, Chamarajanagar will be staging Dr. H.S. Shivaprakash’s play ‘Manteswamy Kathaprasanga.’ On Dec. 11, students of JSS Public School, HSR Layout, Bengaluru will be staging Muppina Shadakshari’s play ‘Tirukana Kanasu’ and Macchimale Shankaranarayanarao’s play ‘Mangagala Upavasa.’ Yoga enthusiast of international fame H. Khushi will inaugurate the theatre festival on Dec. 9 at 11 am. Senior theatre personality Dr. H.K. Ramanath will preside over the event. Former Director of Rangayana, Dharawad Dr. Prakash Garuda will be the chief guest. Valedictory function will be held on Dec. 11 at 11 am. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Theatre Director Shashidhar Bharighat will be the chief guest. Actor and theatre artist Santosh Kumar Kusanur will deliver the valedictory address. The plays will be staged at 11 am for school and college students and at 6 pm for general public. There is no entry fee.
