JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) is conducting its 4th Convocation on May 2 at 10.30 am at SJCE Quadrangle in city. Degree and Medals for the achievers of all the branches will be presented by Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Chancellor, JSS STU.
Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabhudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), will be the chief guest and will deliver the Convocation Address. In all, 997 BE, 28 BCA, 199 M.Tech, 57 MCA, 33 M.Sc., 200 MBA, and 5 Ph.D. candidates are eligible for the award of the degree.
53 Medals will be awarded to the students, out of which 33 Medals are for the students who have scored the highest marks in respective branches and 20 Endowment Medals will also be awarded. Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha will administer the oath to the degree holders. Prof. M.H. Dhananjaya, Advisor, Technical Education Division; Prof. A.N. Santosh Kumar, in-charge Vice-Chancellor and Controller of Examinations, JSS STU; Prof. S. A. Dhanaraj, Registrar, JSS STU will be present. JSS STU has 102 acres of sprawling campus. It offers 14 UG, 25 PG and Doctoral programmes in all disciplines. Around 6,000 students pursue their careers on this campus.
