Mysuru: “Students must have innovation in their thinking process and management students must develop human relationship in the workplace to become successful leaders in corporates,” said Accenture Managing Director, Bengaluru, Niranjan Babu Srinivasan.
He was speaking after inaugurating a two-day national-level management competition ‘Management Innovation for Excellence MANNOVEX -2018’ organised by JSS Centre for Management Studies (JSSCMS), Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, here recently.
“Students must take the initiatives to learn new concepts and contemporary management skills that are needed for the potential managers. You must upgrade your learning, build attitudes and commitment to set goals for the successful accomplishment,” he said.
Kaynes Technology India Chief Operational Officer Jayram Sampath, in his address, emphasised that students are required to understand the managerial skills to analyse the situations to make decisions which are unlike technical or programmable one.
JSS Science and Technology University Registrar Dr. K. S. Lokesh released MANNOVEX-2018 magazine and said that this kind of competitions helps the students to get new ideas to think and initiate new business plan and start-ups. He also stressed the need to upgrade the managerial and analytical skills through regular interactions with practitioners.
The MANNOVEX-2018 with the theme “Awakening” is the 11th edition of national-level management competition. As a part of this fest, many events were organised including Rupee a day, Swachh Bharat, blood donation camp, Walkathon, Inter-college sports meet, art competition and a series of special lectures and talks.
JSSCMS Head of the Department Dr. P.Nagesh also spoke.Yuvarajanath and Dr.Sridevi Kulenur coordinated the event.
