Junior MUDA Officers threatened to write favourable opinions

Mysore/Mysuru: Whispers are circulating within the corridors of the MUDA regarding unauthorised power transfers and alleged misappropriation of funds by senior officials.

According to reports, high-ranking officials at MUDA have allegedly abused their authority by pressuring subordinates to manipulate land transfer-related files. They have reportedly demanded immediate approval and favourable opinions on land acquisitions and transfers.

Subordinates who fail to submit necessary documents with favourable opinions are reportedly threatened with disciplinary actions. An engineer was reportedly demoted and reassigned to a less significant department for non-compliance with orders, without proper authorisation.

There are widespread allegations involving other engineers recently joining MUDA, suggesting coercion to comply with instructions from senior MUDA officers. Additionally, it is alleged that senior officers have been dictating the contents of files for each case. Officials who do not comply with these directives fear repercussions and expedite processes as instructed.
