K.M. Chandre Gowda resigns as MRC Chairman

Mysuru: In a sudden development, K.M. Chandre Gowda resigned as Chairman of Mysore Race Club (MRC) Limited citing personal reasons.

During his tenure, Chandre Gowda, who had also served as Turf Authorities of India Chairman, had taken certain stern decisions to bring about changes in the MRC. Recently, he had also visited France and Japan.

However, his decision to quit the coveted posts has raised many eyebrows.

Meanwhile, the elections to the Managing Committee of MRC, which had to be held on Oct. 14 during the Annual General Meeting, has also been postponed.
