K.N. Anantharamu

K.N. Anantharamu (76), retired Head Master of Hardwicke School, passed away yesterday at a private hospital following brief illness. He leaves behind daughter Shravani and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill here today.

Anantharamu had served as a teacher and Head Master of   Hardwicke School and Founder-Principal of Hardwicke PU College for 30 years.

After retirement, he served as the Head of the Kannada Department of NIE. An old student of M. Venkatakrishnaiah Anathalaya, Anantharamu served as its Warden and was the Hon. President of the Old Students’ Association.
