K.N. Ananthaswamy (94), former Deputy Collector of Central Excise & Customs, Government of India and a resident of Saraswathipuram, passed away in Mysuru on May 15. He was the author of four Kannada novels, namely ‘Swarna Nagariya Suvarna Dinagalu’, ‘Suliyinda Sulige’, ‘Mahaa Shwethe’ and ‘Aaseya Alegalu.’
He leaves behind three sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill on May 15.
