Mysuru: It is the first death anniversary of Philanthropist and Industrialist K. Raghunathan. Befittingly his friend and well-wisher K.V. Murthy has organised salutation through dance at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on June 9 at 6 pm — Bharatanatyam by Vidu. Premitha Ramesh.
She will be assisted by her Guru Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy (nattuvanga), Vid. Nandakumar (vocal), Vid. Hanumantharaju (percussion) and Rakesh Sudhir (flute).
Premitha, an aspiring Engineer from Mysuru, fell in love with Bharatanatyam when she was four and since then has been under the tutelage of Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy.
Under the guidance of her Guru, Premitha has performed in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka – Guruvayur Sree Krishna Temple, Vettakkoru Makan Temple, Kannur, Sri Rangamudi Sevai at Sri Rangapatna, Mysuru, Mysuru Dasara, Bengaluru Sangeeth Utsav, etc.
Her commitment to fine arts and dance is so intense that she recently opened Kalandika Kala Pratishthana Samsthe at Mysuru to provide training in music and dance.
