Kagyu Nalanda yesterday announced the 2016 annual exam results of Theoretical and Spiritual Education. The students were tested on their practical knowledge of self-sustainability for the benefit of society.
Kagyu Nalanda Founder OSL Karma Rinpoche, Drukpa Kagyu’s Director Acharya Khenpo Ngedon Tenzin and General Manager Thamchoe Phuntsok graced the occasion. Kagyudpa Monastery’s teacher Ani Samten was the guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion, Karma Rinpoche encouraged the students to enrich spiritual learning and ecological development and practice compassion in nature.
Khenpo Ngedon Tenzin said that Kagyu Nalanda’s environmental work exemplifies as a living model of ecological, sustainable environment locally as well as globally.
Ani Samten expressed happiness at the remarkable transformation of Nalanda monks’ attitude to reduce, reuse and recycle waste materials.
Karma Rinpoche extended gratitude to Kupendra Reddy of Drikung Charitable Society, Forest First, Dr. Yellapa Reddy of Forest Dept., Kagyu Nalanda’s faculty, management & students for their continuous support.
