Mysore/Mysuru: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Seshadripuram Degree College, Mysuru, in association with Kala Srishti Cultural Committee, had organised “Kala Vaibhava” the 11th Annual Day at Kuvempu Rangamandira in city recently.
Actress Yamuna Srinidhi, who was the chief guest, in her address, emphasised on the importance of setting clear goals and identifying one’s interests. She spoke about the pressures of presenting oneself to the world and highlighted that the power to shape our future lies within us.
Besides, Yamuna encouraged students to learn new skills every day, maintain a balance between time and energy and approach all tasks with happiness.
She also stressed that goals help us understand our limitations and guide our growth. She advised students to set ambitious goals, prepare a timetable, monitor their progress and practice discipline in their daily lives.
Nadoja Dr. Wooday P. Krishna, Honorary General Secretary of Seshadripuram Educational Trust, presided over the event.
In his presidential address, Dr. Krishna expressed concern over the decreasing attention span among students in recent times and emphasised that reading plays a vital role in improving concentration and enhancing knowledge.
Ruchitha Rajesh and N. Rakshitha of final year BBA, along with T. Sachin Gowda of first year BCA, were felicitated by the dignitaries in recognition of their achievements in the fields of music and sports.
The inaugural session was followed by cultural programmes presented by the students.
