Mysuru: JSS Urban Haat of JSS Mahavidyapeetha has organised Kalavaibhav-2019 & Silk Utsav-2019 at its premises in Hebbal Industrial Area from Mar.22 to 31, under the sponsorship of Directorate of Large & Mega Industries, Government of Karnataka, Bengaluru and District Industries Centre, GoK, Mysuru.
More than 80 Master Craft Persons/ Weavers/ Co-operative Societies/ Micro Industries from all over the country will display their products at a rural ambience and demonstrate their finest crafts work.
In all, the ‘Craft Bazaar’ showcases an amazing range of Handicrafts under one roof. The Utsav is a unique exhibition and an opportunity for artistic, cultural and creative pursuit, it tells stories from the heart of rural India through its textiles, pottery and jewellery. The exhibition will be kept open from 10 am to 9 pm daily. There is no entry and parking fee for exhibition.
INAUGURATION: The event will be inaugurated on Mar.22 at 4 pm by Jyothi, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Mysuru. G.C. Vrushabendramurthy, Director, Directorate of Micro, Small and Medium Industries, GoK, Bengaluru, will preside.
Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Shankarappa, Director, General Administration Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Morabada Mallikarjuna, Director, Publication Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, B.R. Umakant, Joint Director (Projects), JSS Technical Education Division, D.K. Lingaraju, Joint Director, District Industries Centre, Mysuru, B.K. Shivakumar, Joint Director (P&P), Directorate of Large & Mega Industries, Bengaluru and Rakesh S. Shetty, Managing Director, Power TV, Bengaluru, will be the chief guests.
