Mysore/Mysuru: Kamakshi Hospital (Unit-1) located in Kuvempunagar celebrated its Founder’s Day and 52nd anniversary in the Hospital premises yesterday.
Visionary Founders Bantval Madhava Shenoi and Sulochana Madhava Shenoi had laid the foundation of this Hospital with a noble mission to provide compassionate, accessible, affordable and quality health care to all. A humble initiative that began with 16 beds has grown today as a beacon of hope, centre of clinical excellence and a trusted name in healthcare.
Marking the celebration, special puja was performed at Ganesha temple in the Hospital premises, which was attended by Consultants and staff including Dr. C.D. Sreenivasa Murthy, Dr. C.G. Narasimhan, Dr. U.G. Shenoy, Dr. Arun Srinivas, Dr. K.R. Nagabhushan, Dr. M.D. Kemparaju and Dr. Srinivas among others. Fruits were distributed to all in-patients at the hospital.
On the occasion, Hospital staff Vanajakshi, Vishwanath, Subramanya and Shankar, who had served for the last 25 years, were felicitated while children of the staff who excelled in the 2024-25 academic year — Sanjana (85 percent in SSLC), Chandana (82 percent in SSLC) and Chirag (81 percent in PUC) — were presented with a cash prize of Rs. 2,000 each.
Hospital Managing Trustee M. Mahesh Shenoy, Chairman M. Vishwanath Rao, Joint Managing Trustee Gajanana Shenoy, Administrator Dr. K.R. Kamath, Trustees Suresh Rao, Jagannath Shenoy and Manoj Shenoy, General Manager S.V. Prasanna Kumar, Assistant General Manager G.N. Bhaskar, Management Co-ordinator Shruti Asoka and others were present.
