Mysuru lad S.D. Prajwal Dev, teaming up with fellow Indian Kunal Anand, finished runner-up in the Men’s Doubles event in M15 Kampala ITF World Tennis Tour at Kampala, Uganda, from May 6 to 12.
In the final, Guy Orly I (BDI) and Ismael R.M. Changawa (Ken) beat Prajwal and Kunal 6-1, 7-5.
In the semi-finals, Prajwal and Kunal beat B. William (USA) & T. Julius (LTU) 6-3, 6-3. In the quarter-finals, Prajwal and Kunal teamed up well to oust K. Sheil and S. Mehuli Don Ayanda (Zim) 6-3, 6-4.
In the pre-quarter-finals, the duo beat the Russian pair of Sergey Bolotov and Alexey Dubinin (Rus) 6-3, 6-2.
In the Men’s Singles, Muthu Aditya Senthil Kumar of India beat S.D. Prajwal Dev 6-4 (retd.) in the quarter-finals. In pre-quarter-finals, Prajwal Dev beat Ajeet Rai (NZ) 6-2, 2-1 (retd.).
