Mysore/Mysuru: As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Mysore Diocesan Educational Society (MDES), St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar, will host an Inter-High School Kannada Debate and Folk Song Singing Competitions on the theme ‘Green Campus, Clean Campus’ at the school premises on Oct. 18.
Over 17 schools from across Mysuru are expected to participate, with four students from each school, totalling around 70 participants. The day-long event aims to promote environmental awareness among students while encouraging Kannada language and culture.
The event will be inaugurated at 9 am by R. Manjunath, Assistant Professor, JSS Institute of Education, Kowdalli, Sakleshpur. The valedictory and prize distribution function will be held at 1.30 pm the same day.
Attractive awards will be presented to the top three participants in each category. Apart from individual award, overall trophy is also given.
The event seeks to inspire young minds to contribute towards building a cleaner and greener learning environment while showcasing their oratory and musical talents in Kannada.
