Mysuru: Swathi Prakashana had organised a function at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuempunagar here yesterday for the release of the Kannada version of CD ‘Tyagaraja Geethamruta’ and the book ‘Nadabrahma Rachanamruta Part-2’ translated to Kannada by Dr. Geetha Seetharam.
The book and CD were released by Swami Athmajnanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama and Ranganath of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Athmajnanandaji opined that ‘Kirthanes’ of Thyagaraja are filled with devotion. He added that music was a wholesome art which has an impact on mind.
He further said that invoking Divine power through music was a part of Indian culture.
Dr. Geetha Seetharam, Dr. Seetharam and others were present during the programme.
