Kannada version of book ‘Yogi Vemana Darshana’ released

Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, MLA Vasu, littérateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar, Dist. Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna and others seen during the release of the book ‘Yogi Vemana Darshana’ at a programme in Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama premises on Nanjangud Road here yesterday.

Mysuru: Kannada Sahitya Parishat had organised a function at Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama on Nanjangud Road here yesterday for the release of the book ‘Yogi Vemana Darshana,’ a translated version by K. Sethuram.

Speaking on the occasion, littérateur Dr. Malali Vasanthkumar opined that Sarvagna of Kannada and Vemana of Telugu were great ‘Prajakavis’ of South India and noted Saint Poets of Indian literature.

He pointed out that many writers had translated Vemana’s works in Telugu to Kannada but hailed Sethuram for translating the book in Telugu on Vemana to Kannada in just two volumes. He further said that both Sarvagna and Vemana were totally spiritual and true social reformers. He appealed Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji to get statues of the two Saint Poets installed at the premises of the Ashrama.

Achievers K. Raghuram, Dr. Halathi Somashekar, Dr. Thimmaiah, H.R. Badresh Kumar, S. Ramprasad, T.S. Chayapathi, K. Krishnegowda, M. Chandrashekar, R.D. Kumar, S. Prakash Babu, Maddikere Gopal and Ranganath Mysore were felicitated.
