Prathap Simha books 197 tickets for party workers
Mysuru: Former Mysuru-Kodagu MP Prathap Simha has booked an entire screen at DRC Cinemas, a multiplex in Jayalakshmipuram, to watch the Kannada movie Kantara – Chapter 1 starring Rishabh Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth.
Simha has purchased a total of 197 tickets of Screen-2 for the 4 pm show today (Oct. 4) at the multiplex spending a total amount of Rs. 68,920.
Through his social media handle, Simha has invited the BJP workers to watch the movie along with him at the multiplex.
Speaking to Star of Mysore, Simha said he didn’t want to miss the film as actor Rishabh Shetty was one of his close friends. Stating that he was also finding it difficult to buy tickets as it was in great demand, Simha said, “I met the DRC Cinemas heads and requested them to remove a Hindi cinema being screened and replace it with Kantara – Chapter 1 for the BJP workers to watch.”
“The tickets have not only been booked for me but for BJP workers from all Assembly Constituencies,” added Simha.
After having shared this message on his social media handle, the demand for tickets increased, for which Prathap Simha has promised to book another show in the days to come and watch the movie again with the party workers and fans.
