Mysore/Mysuru: A grand premiere of the short film ‘Kappuhamsa’ produced by Studio Swaramadhura, Mysuru will be held on Sunday (Dec. 10) at the Kalpa Kshetra Auditorium, 581/1, 1st Phase, Vijayanagar Fourth Stage, in the city.
The event will feature two shows on the same day, with the first show starting at 5.15 pm, followed by a felicitation ceremony honouring the cast and crew members. Actor-activist Chethan Ahimsa will be the guest of honour. The second show will commence at 6.45 pm. Entry is free. Contact: 78998-06637.
‘Kappuhamsa’ explores the story of the protagonist, Hamsa, who challenges the male chauvinistic mindset prevalent in society, especially during the quest to find a suitable life partner.
The film sheds light on privileges that men often enjoy during weddings, creating an emotional narrative around the experiences of a progressive and independent girl, Hamsa, in the context of India’s social landscape.
The movie has been produced by Ashwini Murali and directed by Rajath Ranganatha. Rakesh Sudhir is the music director, K.V. Sathish (Banni Studio) director of photography, editing and colour by Joffson Pinto (Blue Jacket Creations), art by Musthafa Khan and voice dubbing for lead (Hamsa) Ashwini Murali.
K.M. Rajalakshmi is the lead actor ‘Hamsa’) and others in the cast are Indira Nayar, B.S. Anand (brother of Mandya Ramesh), Nagarathna Bhat, B.L. Muralidhara, Rajesh Madhavan, Manju V. Narasapura and Rajath Ranganatha.
