Karnatak classical vocal concert by Anagha

Mysore/Mysuru: A Karnatak classical vocal concert by Vidu. Anagha Yoganand of Bengaluru will be held under the auspices of Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, on Saturday (July 20) at 6 pm at Jayanagara Ramamandira in city.

Vidu. Anagha Yoganand will have the instrumental support by Vid. Krithik Koushik on violin, Vid. Raghunandan V. Bhargav on mridanga and Vid. S. Manjunath on ghata.

Artiste’s Profile: Anagha Yoganand is a gifted vocalist, hailing from a family of musicians, with music in her blood. She took to it from a very young age, be it singing, playing the violin or the harmonium.

She carries forward the rich legacy of her great grandfather G. Vedanta Iyengar (visionary founder of Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira) and her grand aunts Karnataka Kalashree G.V. Ranganayakamma and Vid. G.V. Neela who were also her first gurus.

Her versatility and passion for music added several prizes and accolades and appreciation from the audiences to her name.

 In her efforts to present and explore music in its entirety, she is ably guided by her guru Vid. H.S. Sudhindra who is a massive source of inspiration to her. She has also been trained by many more eminent teachers like Vidu. Neela Ramgopal.
