Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised a Karnatak music vocal concert by Vidu. M.R. Sudha on Apr.26 at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar.
She will be accompanied by Vid. Matthur Srinidhi on violin, Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar on mridanga and Vid. Vikram Bharadwaj on ghata.
Profiles: Hailing from a music family, Vidu. M.R. Sudha is the daughter of Vid. M.J. Ramaswami, brother of Gaanakalabhushana Vid. M.J. Srinivasa Iyengar.
Having groomed by her father and Vid. M.J. Srinivasa Iyengar, she continued her tutelage under Vidu. Gowri Kuppuswami, who is a disciple of GNB.
A 3rd Rank holder in Vidwat Exam, she is a B-High grade artiste of AIR. She has performed at many prestigious Sabhas in Karnataka and in Chennai.
Vid. Matthur Srinidhi is a disciple of Vid. R.R. Keshavamurthy and Vid. R.N. Thyagarajan and one of the much sought after violinists. He has accompanied many of the senior artistes and won appreciation.
Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar is the son and disciple of Vid. Bhadrachar and continued his tutelage under Vid. Guru Karaikudi R. Mani. Being the staff of AIR Mysuru, he is one the much sought after artiste.
Vid. Vikram Bharadwaj is a disciple of Keerthishesha Vid. P.G. Lakashminarayana and later continued his learning under Vid. V.S. Ramesh and currently under the tutelage of Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar. He is one of the promising young percussionist.
