Mysuru: Mysuru’s budding cueist Aditya Chawla excelled in Karnataka State Billiards and Snooker Championship-2024 held at Bengaluru recently.
The 15-year-old Aditya taking part in the sub-junior category (U-18), emerged victorious in billiards championship and finished second in snooker championship.
He also emerged third in the U-21 snooker championship.
In the finals of U-18 billiards championship, Aditya Chawla beat Karan Sheshadri 2-1 to emerge victorious while he lost to M.D. Mustafa 1-2 in the finals of U-18 snooker championship to emerge runner-up.
Meanwhile, in the third-place playoff in the U-21 snooker championship, Aditya overcame M.D. Mustafa 3-1.
Aditya, a 10th std. student of Phoenix International Academy in Mysuru, practises at Mysore Snooker Academy on Vishwamanava Double Road and is coached by Pranit Ramchandani.
He is the son of Vijay Chawla and Mehek Vijay Chawla, residents of Sankalp Central Park in Yadavagiri. His grandparents Vishnu B. Raheja and Preethi Vishnu Raheja are also residents of Yadavagiri.
