Karnataka State Open & Girls U-11 Chess: Aarav, Pratitee bag titles

The top two players in the Open section, Apaar Saxena (7.5) and Aarav (8 pts) and girls U-11 section toppers Krupha S. Ukkali (7.5) and Pratitee Bardoloi (8.5 pts), who earned selection to represent the State in the Nationals, pose with their trophies.

Aarav Sathish Amonkar with 8 points from 9 rounds and Pratitee Bardoloi with 8.5 points from nine rounds won the Open and Girls U-11 titles respectively on the concluding day of the Akshayakalpa Organic Milk-sponsored Karnataka State Open & U-11 Girls Chess Championship 2023, conducted by Mysore Chess Centre at Dasprakash Paradise hotel premises here on Sunday.

The top two players in the Open section, Aarav (8 pts) and Apaar Saxena (7.5) and in girls U-11 section, Pratitee Bardoloi (8.5 pts) and Krupha S. Ukkali (7.5) earned selection to represent the State in the Nationals.
