Karnataka State U-13 Girls Chess: Sanjana emerges sole leader

Sanjana Raghunath with 5.5 points from six rounds emerged as the sole leader in the Karnataka State U-13 Girls Chess Championships 2018 held at Nalanda Chess Academy in Shivamogga yesterday.

Mysuru girl Hemadri Sathish with 5 points from 6 rounds is in the second place. She is followed by Manya (Kundapura – 5 points), Zoya Nazar (Bengaluru – 5 points), Archana S. Indrali (Dharwad – 5 points), M.R. Mridhini (Shivamogga – 5 points) and Dhnayatha Cory (Bengaluru – 5 points) and are placed from third to seventh in the rankings.

Mysuru’s Prasiddhi Bhat (4 points – 17th place), Shatri Umesh (4 points – 22nd place), K.R. Sara (4 points – 23rd place), Vindya Sridhar (4 points-26th place), V. Deeksha (3.5 points – 31st place), Sharadhi Shastry (3.5 points – 38th place), K. Deeksha (3 points – 50th) and M. Dhrithi (2 points) fared well.

In the U-13 Open Boys Section, Samith Reddy of Bengaluru with 6 points from 6 rounds emerged as the sole leader. Shree Krishna Prasanna (DK – 5.5), H. Shiva Chethan (DK – 5.5), Komal Srivatsav (Bengaluru – 5), Abhudhay Santhosh (5), Tanav Sudharshan (Mandya – 5) are placed from second to sixth in the rankings. Mysuru’s Vishwajith (4.5 – 24th), P. Karthik (4-37th), M.G. Prameeth (4 – 42nd) and N.C. Gambhir (3.5 – 64th) also fared well.
