Mysuru girl Prasiddhi Bhat, taking part in the Karnataka State U-13 Girls Chess Championships 2017 being held at Rajeev Educational Arcade, Hassan, from Apr. 21-23, has secured 2 points from two rounds and is placed sixth in the rankings on Friday.
In all, 17 players are tied with 2 points each at the end of second round. Bhagyashree Patil, Sanjana Raghunath (both Bengaluru), A.N. Shefali (Mandya), Anya Seth Syed (B’lore) and M. Dhruthi (B’lore) are placed from one to fifth in the rankings.
Mysuru girl Hemadri satish with 2 points is placed 12th, while Dhatri Umesh (1 point) and C.T. Anamika Menon (1 point) from Mysuru are placed 25th & 26th respectively. M.N. Eshanvi of Mysuru with 1 point is placed 36th in ranking after 2 rounds.
In the U-13 Open Championships, Mysuru lad M. Shivanth is placed seventh in the ranking with two points from 2 rounds. Mysuru’s M.G. Sumukh, K.S. Chiranjan Kumarr (2 points each) are placed 23rd & 29th respectively in the rankings after round two. M.G. Prameeth (1.5 points) is placed 52nd while Dharmik B. Gowda with 1 point is placed 89th in the ranking. Pankaj Bhat and M. Chirag (both of Puttur) are placed one and two respectively with 2 points from 2 rounds and is followed by Kaushik G. Iyer (B’lore) with 2 points.
