Karnataka Urdu Academy Chairman feted

Mysuru: Mubeen Munaver, Chairman  of Karnataka Urdu Academy(KUA) was felicitated during  a prize distribution ceremony to the successful students of Idara Adbiyat Urdu Hyderabad, who won the  Islamic General Knowledge test, conducted by Mohammed Ebrahim Khan at MEWA recently.

Speaking occasion, Mubeen Munaver appreciated the courses conducted at MEWA centre and said that after successfully completing tailoring, fashion designing and  language courses, the students would have a better chances of livelihood.

He said that the Urdu Academy not only appreciates the services of MEWA organisation, but also supports such organisations financially. The programme started with the Qirat recitation by Bi Bi Hajira.  Uzma Sultana and Shafia sang a famous ghazal.

Among students who shared their experiences and views were Sheeban Kouser and Fariha Kulsum. Baqar Umar Khan, Secretary, welcomed. Mir Sarfaraz  ur Rahman read out reports of MEWA’s contributions to the society. Captain Mir Afzal Hussain presided. Organiser Nyamathulla Khan proposed a vote of thanks. Shawls and garlands were offered to Mubeen Munaver.
