Karnataka’s Sini Shetty crowned ‘Miss India-2022’

New Delhi: Karnataka’s Sini Shetty has been crowned as ‘Femina Miss India-2022,’ a national beauty pageant in India that annually selects representatives to compete in ‘Miss World,’ one of the major international beauty pageants.

The ‘Femina Miss India’ took to their official social media handle and wrote, “World – here she comes! Sini Shetty has conquered our stage and taken over our hearts with her magnetism, charm, endurance and beauty! We’re so proud and can’t wait to see her represent India on the Miss World stage! Please give it up for Femina Miss India World 2022, Sini Shetty @sinishettyy.”

Hailing from Karnataka, the 21-year-old beauty queen was born in Mumbai and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. Currently, she is pursuing a professional course called CFA. Sini Shetty is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer too.

The pageant was hosted at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on Sunday. Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan emerged as the first runner-up while Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh was the second runner-up.

Sharing a picture of the ladies on Instagram, the ‘Femina Miss India’ said, “CONGRATULATIONS Let’s pop the champagne! These ladies have a powerful voice and we’re sure that they’re going to use this platform to further all the important causes that they believe in. We’ve seen the passion with which they’ve worked for these titles and must say that they deserve every bit of this. Bollywood actors Neha Dhupia, Dino Morea and Malaika Arora, ace fashion designers Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, choreographer Shiamak Davar and former Indian cricketer Mithali Raj were the jury members for the grand finale. The ‘Miss India’ stage hosted 30 ladies from across the country.
