Karun Nair to lead Mysore Warriors

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Warriors, one of franchises of KSCA Maharaja Trophy 2024, have announced Karun Nair as the Captain of the team for the third consecutive year. Karun led the Warriors to the finals of tournament in the last season.

Having made his international debut on 2016, Karun Nair is the second ever triple-centurion in test cricket for India after Virender Sehwag.

 “I am ecstatic to be selected as the Captain for Mysore Warriors. Having played for the country, I look forward to nurture the team’s skilled, budding players, and giving my best both on and off the field. As this is my third year as team captain of Mysore Warriors, I hope to lead my team to victory at the Maharaja Trophy and make everyone proud”, said Karun Nair.

Meanwhile, Arjun Ranga, Owner, Mysore Warriors and Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathi said, “We are thrilled to announce Karun Nair as the Team Captain of Mysore Warriors. Karun Nair’s exceptional cricketing abilities and knowledge makes him a unique leader and I am confident that he will contribute to the team’s development and success. We are looking forward to seeing the team achieve victory under the strong leadership. I am sure that he will push the players to new heights during the tournament.

The Mysore Warriors team has started its preparations for this year’s tournament under the watchful eyes of Assistant Coaches Vijay Madyalkar and Aditya B. Sagar at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium in Manasagangothri.

Mysore Warriors Head Coach Rx Murali will be joining the team shortly soon after the conclusion of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). KSCA Maharaja Trophy will be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from Aug. 15 to Sept. 1.
