Mysore/Mysuru: Former International Cricketer Karuna Jain has been appointed as the Head Coach of Mysore Warriors Women’s Team ahead of the inaugural KSCA Maharani Trophy to commence from Aug. 4 in Bengaluru.
Karuna Jain, who played as a wicket-keeper and right-handed batter, appeared in five Test matches, 44 One Day Internationals and nine Twenty20 Internationals for India from between 2004 and 2014. She scored one century and nine fifties in ODIs. She played domestic cricket for Karnataka, Air India, Nagaland and Pondicherry before announcing her retirement in 2022.
Meanwhile, M.R. Suresh, who is currently the Team Manager for the men’s team will continue to be Team Manager for the women’s team as well. Other Supporting Staff: M.K. Priyanka (Team Assistant Manager), S. Rajath (Assistant Coach), Mridu Gautham (Team Physio), Harshitha Krishnaswamy (Strength and Conditioning Coach) and Guru (Thrown Down Specialist).
Talent Hunt tomorrow
Mysore Warriors will conduct Talent Hunt for women cricketers tomorrow (July 27) at Just Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
