Sir,
I have been travelling in Train No. 16022 Kaveri Express from Mysuru Jn. every Sunday night since eight years now. This train is also preferred by many tourists and IT employees commuting during weekends.
I have noticed that from the past few months this train is starting from 6th Platform rather than the 1st Platform, which is causing lot of inconvenience to the commuters.
- Senior citizens have to walk all the way from 1st to 6th Platform.
- Ticket counter at back gate has only 1 window and we have to wait in long queues.
- Water bottles are sold at premium price of Rs. 20 – Rs.30 (No Aquaguard water facility).
- Dinner takeaway options are limited to two (Rice Bath/Idli) and sold at a premium price.
- Toilets on the Platform are not clean and functional, e-Toilets are very busy (specially on Sundays)
- No Coffee/Tea/Nandini Counters.
- Power on train’s coach is switched on 15 minutes before train departs.
I request the Railway authorities concerned to do the needful at the earliest and help the travellers.
