Mysuru: Khiraj, a musical festival in memory of Padma Bhushan Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, has been organised at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road on June 9 at 5.30 pm by Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre.
Sri 1008 Sri Vidyamanohara Theertha, the 40th Peethadhipati of Sri Vyasaraja Mutt, Sosale, will inaugurate the Fest. Yoga Prakash of Mysuru Yoga Association will be the chief guest.
M. Nagesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, St. Philomena’s College and V. Pavan Kumar, Industrialist, Bengaluru, will be the guests of honour.
Pt. Saroj K. Mukherjee will present Sitar recital accompanied by Pt. Rajendra Nakod on tabla.
Also, there will be a dance performance by VPAC students — Vidu. Deepthi Adhishesh, Vidu. Padmashri Kashyap, Vidu. Sinchana, Vidu. Anusha and Vid. Harish Kumar.
