Kidney Day at Sigma Hospital

Mysuru: Sigma Hospital celebrated World Kidney Day at its premises in city recently. Dr. Aniketh Prabhakar, Consultant Nephrologist, spoke about kidney health.

Hospital staff and patients took oath: Not to take painkiller tablets and antibiotics without doctor’s advice; To get the kidneys checked every year after 40 years of age; Promote nutritious and clean eating habits and encourage others to do the same; Avoid smoking, alcohol and junk foods.

Dr. K.M. Madappa, Chief Urologist and Transplant Surgeon, spoke about the hospital’s endeavour to prevent kidney diseases and announced that a free annual kidney check-up camp will be conducted on Apr. 6 from 8 am to 2 pm. Hospital’s Managing Director S. Gnanashankar, Paediatrician and Hospital Director Dr. Rajeshwari Madappa, Urologist Dr. Somanna, doctors and staff were present.
