Kilpauk Medical College Alumni Meet in Mysuru from Feb.18 to 21

All octogenarian doctors to discuss recent developments in the field of medicine

Mysuru: Kilpauk Medical College Alumni Association, belonging to 1952-1957 batches, will be holding their Annual Scientific Conference this year at Mysuru from Feb.18 to 21.

All the delegates are above the age of 80 years and ranging from 82-88 years. Though octogenarians, they are all very keen to meet every year and discuss the recent developments of various subjects in the field of medicine.

The inaugural function will be held in Southern Star Hotel on Feb.19 from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. Dr. Nanjaraj, Dean-cum-Director of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI), will be the chief guest. T.S. Subramanya, Deputy Director of Mysore Palace Board, will be the guest of honour, according to Dr. P. Mohan Rao.

Government Kilpauk Medical College (GKMC) is one of the premier Government Medical Institutions in India. Founded in 1960, the College has been instrumental in producing many world-renowned doctors. There are four hospitals attached to GKMC — they are Government Royapettah Hospital, Government Thiruvotteeswarar Hospital of Thoracic Medicine, Government Peripheral Hospital, K.K. Nagar and Government Peripheral Hospital, Anna Nagar.

The College is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai. It offers a number of Under-Graduate (UG)and Post-Graduate (PG) programmes. It provides excellent training and state-of-the-art infrastructure facility towards medical education and patient care.
