Mysuru: Metagalli Police have arrested two persons including the brother-in-law of murder victim on charge of killing at a lodge in city. Those arrested are Vinod (brother-in-law of the deceased) and his relative Anand. The two accused had allegedly murdered Manoj, a native of Periyapatna.
It is learnt that there was a property dispute between Vinod and Manoj and despite this Vinod and Anand had accompanied Manoj to Jayadeva Hospital in Mysuru on Oct. 13.
They had checked in to a lodge near the Hospital that night during which a scuffle broke out between Vinod and Manoj. As the fight escalated, Vinod allegedly assaulted Manoj with a lethal weapon with Anand’s help. Later, Vinod and Anand had gone absconding.
Metagalli Police had registered a case and the Police team, led by Inspector Diwakar, who began the investigation arrested both the accused, three days back.
Police sources said that it is a pre-planned murder and the truth will come out after a thorough investigation. Both the accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
