Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Ajjana Mane Kalaa Prapancha,’ an organisation involved in social work and promotion of art, culture and traditional practices among children, is organising classical music programmes at the heritage house of Mysore Vasudevacharya near Agrahara in city, on the next three Sundays — Apr. 7, 14 and 21.
The programme titled ‘Kishora Gayana Namana,’ as a tribute to renowned composer Mysore K. Vasudevacharya, will present classical vocal music concerts by children who won prizes in the State-level Music Competition conducted in December last. The schedule of concerts is as below:
Apr. 7: Medha Udupa (from Udupi), Aditya Srinidhi Tayur (Bengaluru) and S. Dyuti (Shivamogga) will present vocal concert accompanied by Vid. H. Srivatsa on violin and Vid. G. Subramanya Kumar on mridanga.
Apr. 14: Niraamaya V. Rao, Kunal Mahesh and Harini (all three from Mysuru) will perform with Vid. Rupanagudi Ratnateja on violin and Vid. G. Subramanya Kumar on mridanga.
Apr. 21: Sarangi S. Haritsa, S. Aarna, A. Bhuvanaa and Sinchana S. Shankar (all from Bengaluru) will present a vocal concert with Vid. Amogha on violin, Vid. S. Ashoka and Vid. Skandan Bharadwaj on mridanga.
The concerts begin at 9.30 am and each concert will be of 45 minutes duration. Music enthusiasts are requested to attend and encourage the budding artistes.
